Metal Shop Fundraiser

Your support can put a welder in the hands of a future inventor. By funding our metal shop, you're helping Chico Fab Lab provide essential tools for creators of all backgrounds.

The Tool Zones

Each of our tools belongs to a zone. Each zone has its own Zone Manager who runs the zone, teaches the Safety and Basic Use class weekly, and is available as a resource to members during office hours.

Laser Zone

We have 2 laser cutters/engravers in The Laser Zone.

3D Printing Zone

A variety of 3D printers available to members including multicolor printers and large nozzle printers.

Woodshop Zone

Our complete woodshop features a plethora of woodworking tools for the craftsperson or woodworker.

Electronics Zone

From soldering to microcontrollers, LEDs to Arduinos — soldering stations, power supplies, oscilloscopes, reflow surface mount station and more!

CNC Router Zone

Our Shopbot CNC has a 4 ft by 16 ft cutting area, and can cut materials such as wood and plastics.

Vinyl Cutter Zone

Members have access to our two vinyl cutters: 4 ft wide and 2 ft wide.

Metal Shop Zone

Welding stations, band saws, grinders, and an industrial sand blaster in our newly donated 1000 sqft metal shop.

Waterjet Zone

Desktop waterjet cutter — cuts metal, glass, stone, and more.

CNC Plasma Zone

CNC plasma cutter for sheet and plate metal.

Mill Zone

Machining mill for precision metalwork.

Lathe Zone

Metal lathe for turning, threading, and boring.

How can I get started?

Sign up with your payment information on the Membership page, then come to the New Member Orientation Wednesdays at 6 pm. Next take the Safety and Basic Use class for the zone you want to use.

How do I take the Safety Class?

Contact the Zone Manager on Discord and then attend the Safety and Basic Use (SBU) class.

How do I cancel my membership?

Just reach out via email to our team and we will cancel your membership! Please cancel at least 14 days before your next pay cycle.

Can I pay cash?

No. Chico Fab Lab only accepts payments digitally.

When is The Lab open to members?

7 days a week, 7 am to Midnight.
