Every member starts with the SBU — Safety & Basic Use

SBU: Sundays @ 2pm

Come to the lab at 603 Orange Street. The session covers machine safety, materials, and running your first job. Once you're certified, you can use the laser during open hours.

  • Great: plywood, hardwood, acrylic, leather, cardboard, paper, fabric
  • Never PVC or vinyl — cutting it releases chlorine gas that damages the machine and your lungs
  • Unsure about a material? Ask the zone manager before you cut
